2012 Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses + Horsepower
On October 20th more than 9,000 people descended on WestWorld to experience what became the nation’s most-attended one-day polo event this year. Through international, national and local coverage – the event exceeded expectations. Fox Sports Arizona prepared a 30-minute show on the event that debuted last night. View a preview here. Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane
Our company was pleased to be the consultant for the incumbent Mayor of Scottsdale’s re-election efforts, in which he was the decisive victor in a three-way primary race in August.
Glendale Mayor-Elect Jerry Weiers
RMA co-consulted on Arizona State Representative Jerry Weiers’ successful bid to succeed Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs. He emerged as the top vote getter in the primary election and the ultimate victor in November. Weiers will take office in January.
Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Kevin Kolb
RMA was a key player in providing media relations for the successful November fundraising event for Kevin Kolb’s charity, the Pass It 4ward Foundation. The exclusive event drew about a dozen of Kolb’s Cardinal teammates and garnered a wealth of local media coverage. Founding partner Jason Rose serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Garth Brooks
The legendary country singer tapped RMA’s Jennifer Moser and Jennifer Parks to help with a special performance at Michael Dominick’s Steakhouse to benefit The Teammates for Kids Child Life Zone at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. There were 200 guests who paid $5,000 per seat to see this once-in-a-lifetime performance.
Bob Parsons
The Go Daddy founder asked RMA to help promote the 1st Annual Bob’s Biker Blast at Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale and Go AZ Motorcycles in October. The event featured performances by legendary rockers .38 Special and George Thorogood. Early work for The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation has been even more gratifying. It’s generosity was recently highlighted on the front-page of the Arizona Republic. (link)

With help from RMA, attendance at the racing facility has been on the rise for the past two years, defying national trends in the industry.
World of Beer
With RMA helping its local debut late this summer, the craft beer destination had the best opening week among its many other venues across the country and business continues to grow substantially.
Fox Restaurant Concepts
The most successful restaurant group in the region has tapped RMA to help open its newest addition to its successful network: The Yard, featuring Culinary Dropout. Sam Fox’s joint venture with WDP Partners, will undoubtedly be among the Valley’s most impressive redevelopments and restaurants of 2013.
Phoenix Motor Company (Mercedes)
RMA successfully led public relations efforts for Phoenix Motor Company’s move from Phoenix to Scottsdale ratified by a unanimous Scottsdale City Council vote in November.
Michael Pollack
The real-estate magnate and pop-culture collector’s Tempe Cinemas was named number one on USA Today’s list of 11 reasons to visit Phoenix. The RMA client’s theater was described by the paper as an “amazing pop-culture museum.” RMA also secured several front page cover stories and more coverage in USA Today on Pollack’s personal 3D Ad Museum and Polk Slot Machine collection, both considered to be one of the biggest collections in the world. Additionally, throughout the year RMA helped Pollack garner additional coverage as one of the Valley’s most impressive and generous businessmen.
Scottsdale Firefighters Association
RMA played a key role in the successful Scottsdale Firefighters Charities Dinner in September, an annual event for Scottsdale to honor men and women firefighters and raise money for local charities. Valley resident and victims’ rights advocate Fred Goldman and Craig Jackson of Barrett-Jackson were the keynote speakers.
Indian Bend Wash Trail
Company President Jason Rose has put forth a bold proposition to help Scottsdale’s McDowell Road revitalize into a destination trail reminiscent of the Highline in New York City, combining Indian Bend Wash and Papago Park into one uninterrupted experience. The idea and the gusto behind it won the praise of the Scottsdale Republic. Click here to see the article.
Brian Terry Foundation
The Brian Terry Foundation is raising funds to honor the slain Border Patrol agent in “Operation Fast & Furious.” RMA helped launch the First Annual Brian Terry Benefit Dinner that was held in September, 2012 in Tucson. It raised approximately $100,000. The event received extensive local and national media coverage and featured keynote speakers such as Democratic Arizona Congressman Ron Barber and California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa. Funds raised will be used to provide college scholarships, and emotional and financial assistance to families of injured and slain Border Patrol agents.
Hidden Meadow Ranch
Arizona’s top luxury guest ranch is on track to have its best tourism year yet. That’s quite an achievement just one year removed from The Wallow Fire which although not scarring the property scarred many in the Greer area. Hidden Meadow Ranch hired RMA one year ago after seeing success at the Polo Party.
Fiesta Bowl Invitational
For the first time in the history of the Fiesta Bowl Invitational, the New Year’s Eve Party will be open to the public. With the new task of soliciting more support from the community this year, RMA was called upon to help execute what may be the most attended, elegant and festive party in Scottsdale on December 31st.
