The Super Bowl Is Known As The Big Game But For Us, The 2024 Season Was About Some Super Wins, And PR.
The movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” contains an iconic line from the title character, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” In addition to national politics, it also has been an eventful year in Arizona with Rose+Allyn Public Relations often at the center of key events. While we may not take a day off we are taking some time to look back at 2024, just as we all look forward to watching the Super Bowl.
CRITical Drought Relief

For years Rose+Allyn has been helping the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) in far west Arizona establish and protect its water rights and its authority to lease some of its water resources. Those efforts have been successful with this year the US Department of the Interior and the State of Arizona signing key compacts to enable water leasing, one of the most significant water resource issues in Arizona. CRIT’s Chairwoman Amelia Flores was joined by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and Governor Katie Hobbs over the summer to sign a series of agreements formalizing what had been previously approved by Congress and President Biden. As the drought continues and as power changes in hands in Washington, CRIT continues to fight for its water rights. Rose+Allyn has also taken the additional role of establishing CRIT’s official news site The CRIT Manataba Messenger.
Put Me in Coach

Rose+Allyn is honored to have been drafted by ASU Head Football Coach Kenneth Dillingham to assist in the task to tell the story of the man behind the clipboard and connect this stellar leader of athletes with community leaders and unexpected voices to strengthen ties between the coach and the community as he “Activates the Valley.”
Taking YES YES For An Answer. Preserving The Preserve.

Thirty years ago, forward thinking Scottsdale residents such as Carla and former Scottsdale Mayor and Councilwoman Mary Manross spearheaded the effort to fund and create the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. As funding was about to sunset, the need to maintain the preserve, and protect it from wildfires is still present, as is the need to upgrade aging parks in southern Scottsdale. Scottsdale’s budget spending limits were also 20 years old and woefully out of date. Rose+Allyn was proud to help Carla and Manross make their case to the voters to solve these problems through the passage of Props 490, preserving the preserve, and 491, increasing spending limits. 490 passed with 58% of the vote. 491 passed with 66% voting yes. Impressive stats as the local electorate shifted from left to right.
Harnessing Scottsdale’s Artistic Horsepower

Scottsdale has a wealth of art galleries and a legion of loyal patrons. It also draws clients and talent from around the world. What Scottsdale does not have is a singular event to showcase these assets and bring them into focus on a world stage. With those goals in mind, in 2024 Rose+Allyn partnered with an impressive array of national talent to create and now co-owns Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week which will take place March 20-23, 2025. Some 100 galleries from Turkey to Tokyo, in addition to local galleries, will be displaying and selling signature works of art at WestWorld of Scottsdale, making the largest new American art fair in many years. The event will also showcase indigenous art and cultural displays unique to the Valley of the Sun.
Speaking of Horsepower

The 13th annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships made history in front of another tremendous crowd of 10,378 attendees on a warm day and night, against the backdrop of the picturesque McDowell Mountains. For the first time the event featured an evening polo match thanks to newly installed lights at the polo field at Westworld of Scottsdale. The event returns Saturday November 8th. And in case you can’t wait until November, our other signature equestrian event, the Woodford Reserve Derby DayClub returns to Turf Paradise May 3rd. Details at www.ThePoloParty.com.
From Yellowstone to Scottsdale
Rose+Allyn is honored to be hired by the team behind Scottsdale’s Cactus Reigning Classic which celebrates its 20th year at WestWorld of Scottsdale March 14-22. The event is notable thanks to Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and his local partner Amanda Brumley. Sheridan’s reality show, “The Last Cowboy,” draws millions of viewers, much of which is filmed in Scottsdale. That show prominently features the Scottsdale competition as part of a circuit that concludes with the run for million-dollar competition in Las Vegas.
At Home On The Range, In Scottsdale
You could make the case that the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show helped give birth to the current equestrian lifestyle Arizona enjoys. Rose+Allyn is pleased to help this iconic event navigate the sometimes difficult logistical trails to ensure its long-term success in Scottsdale.
High Octane Assistance For Barrett-Jackson
Iconic events are in our DNA as evidenced by our long term relationship with the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. Rose+Allyn is proud to play a role in keeping the event top of mind with notable fans as well as with key decision makers
Discovering The Final Frontier in Fountain Hills

As the International Dark Sky Discovery Center was preparing to break ground on its one-of-a-kind facility in Fountain Hills, Rose+Allyn was enlisted to help spread the word. It decided to merge the ceremony with a rare partial solar eclipse. The results were stellar. More than 1,000 people attended a partial solar eclipse-watching party the Center hosted in Fountain Hills. The enthusiasm and media coverage were out of this world.
Retail Done Right
Vestar continues to lead the way in a competitive retail market that demands innovation and quality. Rose+Allyn helped Vestar spread the word about Verrado Marketplace, the West Valley’s next generation shopping center, in a ceremony attended by city leaders, developers, retailers, community partners, and local media. Located at the northeast corner of the Interstate 10 Freeway and Verrado Way in Buckeye, Verrado Marketplace will stand at the entrance to DMB Associates’ 8,800-acre Verrado master-planned community.
A Healthy Dose Of Coverage

When client Cardone Ventures unveiled plans for their 10X Health Clinic which opens this spring, those plans got a booster shot thanks to coverage obtained by Jennifer Parks-Sturgeon and the team at Rose+Allyn. It’s just one of many innovative ventures for this innovative and eclectic client which also includes bitcoin, real estate investment, and plans for a new 10,000-square-foot facility in Scottsdale (pictured above).
Greenlighting More Affordable Housing
Rose+Allyn assisted Greenlight Communities as they continued to bring more attainable housing to the Valley. Multiple outlets covered its recent efforts in Phoenix, Goodyear, Mesa, Glendale, Tempe and Tucson. Jennifer Parks-Sturgeon and the team at Rose+Allyn have helped to brand Greenlight Communities as a prominent problem solver to Arizona’s affordable housing shortage.
Rapidly Evolving Real Estate: Compass Points North
Just as the real estate market has seen major changes, there have been some major shifts among local and national movers and shakers. Rose+Allyn client Compass, the largest residential real estate brokerage in the United States by sales volume, joined forces in 2024 with North & Co. cementing its position as the number one brokerage for luxury residential sales in the state. Rose+Allyn led the effort to announce this significant shift.
Turning the Page
Rose+Allyn had the bittersweet task of coordinating media coverage as the Arizona Coyotes announced plans to depart Arizona. The franchise’s former President and CEO, Xavier Gutierrez has decided to stay in Arizona as chairman and CEO of Impact X, which seeks to partner with private equity funds and investment firms to acquire and operate world class assets and enterinto joint ventures with professional teams, leagues and university athletic departments. His first mission is to help Phoenix become a financial hub. Rose+Allyn helped him publicize that noble initiative.
